Bolton’s Age Friendly Strategy 2025–2028
Bolton’s Age Well Partnership are thrilled to announce the launch of Bolton’s Age Friendly Strategy 2025–2028 on 11th June 2025 - a date that also marks Age Without Limits Day across the UK. This marks a milestone for Bolton. Shaped through genuine co-production with older people, Ageing Well Champions, community voices, and cross-sector partners, the strategy outlines a clear, shared vision: ‘To make Bolton a place where everyone can age well - today and for generations to come.’
The Not Out at 90 Challenge
Proud Boltonian Ken Heathcote turns 90 in July, and together with his grandson Sam, will attempt to swim 90 lengths of a pool and the equivalent in ‘open water’. Sam will also be lifting 90,000lbs in weights and playing nine sets of tennis all in one day. They are both doing this to raise money for three charities and would love the people of Bolton to get behind them by taking on their own challenges.
